Getting around Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is bigger than it looks on the map, and the roads are the real limiter. Here's what actually works, and what we tell our guests to skip.

    Scooter rental

The classic Bali move — but Penida is not Canggu. Roads are steep, narrow, and pockmarked in the west. Only rent if you have real scooter experience and don't mind sharing hairpin bends with tour vans. We can arrange delivery to the villa; helmets included.

    Car with private driver

What we recommend for families, first-timers, and anyone who wants to actually enjoy the view. A driver who knows the roads turns Penida into an easy island. We work with a small network of trusted drivers — flat day rate, no surprises.

    Taxi & harbour pickup

There are no Grab or Gojek pickups on Penida — every ride is arranged locally. We handle harbour pickup for arriving guests and can dispatch a car for any airport-side errand during your stay.
