Tembeling Beach & Natural Pools
Freshwater pools in the jungle, then the sea.
Tembeling is a set of freshwater spring pools hidden in the forest above a small volcanic-sand beach. The pools are cold, clear, and shaded — a rare thing on Nusa Penida.
The access road is legitimately rough. Take a local ojek from the parking area or arrange a driver who knows the track — do not scooter this yourself unless you've ridden serious off-road.
Go in the morning; the pools sit in shadow later in the day and lose their glow.
