Kelingking Beach

The T-Rex cliff. The island's postcard.

Kelingking is the shot everyone knows: a limestone ridge shaped like a sleeping T-Rex, plunging into turquoise water 200 metres below. The view from the top is genuinely breathtaking; the climb down is not for everyone.

The stairway is steep, exposed, and takes about 45 minutes down and 90 minutes back up. The beach itself is beautiful but swimming is dangerous — strong currents, no shade, no facilities. Most guests come for the viewpoint, take an hour, and leave.

Come before 9am or after 4pm. Midday means tour-bus crowds, no parking, and heat with nowhere to hide.
