Crystal Bay
The one for swimming and sunset.
Crystal Bay is the beach we send guests to when they want an actual beach day: sheltered water, pale sand, a few warungs under the palms, and a sunset that lines up perfectly with the small offshore island.
Snorkeling is good in the shallows on both sides of the bay. Between July and September the mola-mola (sunfish) sometimes appear here — that's a boat trip, not a shore snorkel.
Bring cash for the small entry fee and a warung lunch. Chairs are cheap to rent from any of the beach cafés.
